Literary Society is going to be working with new officers. The club will be re-energized with more activities, more community service, working closely with the school library, monthly book talks and more fun! 

FCCLA
∙ FCCLA stands for Family Career Community Leaders of America

∙   FCCLA promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communications; practical knowledge; and career preparation.

∙ FCCLA is a group of students who do things to help out their community and their school.

∙ Monthly meetings will alternate between after school and before school and the dates will vary according to student activities. Meetings will be announced in the school bulletin. FCCLA will continue to set up concession stands to fund raise money to pay for bus fees and club expenses. Dues are $20.

. FCCLA's next meeting is before school on January 15th.



. On October 28th FCCLA members attended the FCCLA Region 2 Meeting at the Pleasant Vally Church. The guest speaker was Kevin Laue.

7th/8th Grade Science Fair

May 4, 2016
4:30pm to 6pm

 

*This is an INDIVIDUAL project- NO PARTNERS.

*Your project will need to be on a tri-fold project board. It can be foam or cardboard style. You can purchase these at either a Wal-mart or Hobby Lobby.

*Project boards are due by 3pm on April 22nd to your science teacher. Project boards WILL NOT be accepted after 3pm. This allows us to have several days to grade the projects. If NOT turned in by 3pm will result in a 0 for the project.

*NO volcano or mentos/soda projects of any type or vinegar/egg projects or dissolving candy or plant projects will be accepted.

*May 4 -To receive bonus points (10pts) you must be here and standing by your project for at least 15min. You will sign in and out at the front table in the commons to receive your bonus points. You must be signed in by 5:45 pm or you will not receive your bonus points.                                        

Due Dates:
            February 19th: Problem, Hypothesis and Research due along with Parent signature page (30pts).
            March 4: Procedures and variables identified due (30pts)
            April 8:  Table and Graph due.  This is your DATA that you have collected (30 pts.).
            April 22nd: Project boards due (tri-fold board) (30pts) ALL info is now posted on the project board. 
Name and hour on the FRONT of the tri-fold board.
            May 4: Project will be scored (100 pts.-scoring guide attached).  All other materials are due by 3:00 PM on the 14th. Science Fair is from 4:30 PM to 6 PM.
