 PTO is sponsoring FUN NIGHT for 5th & 6th grades will be Friday, March 23rd. It will begin at 7:00pm and go until 9:00pm. The cost to get in is $5.00 per person. A concession stand will also be open to purchase snacks. Please make sure your ride is here promptly at 9:00 to pick you up.

Kitchen give-a-ways: Starting Monday, March 19th and going until Thursday, March 29th the kichen is giving you a chance to win prizes. Everytime you purchase a breakfast you can put a guess in a jar for the number of jelly beans. Whoever comes the closest will win the jar of jelly beans. Everytime you eat a lunch you can put your name in a drawing for a Easter bunny. A name will be drawn out after lunch on Thursday, March 29th.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sweetie Lunn! Sweetie was declared by OPPA Food Management, receipe winner in both the district and regional areas. The winning recipe was her Cardinal Nest Cheesy Chicken. This receipe will advance to the national level on April 11th in Neosho, Missouri and is sponsored by Tyson.Lets all wish Sweetie good luck in the national contest!!

Lift-a-Thon pledges are due tomorrow (Tuesday).

Agility training will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 AM.  This will take the place of the speed development program, as we have finished the 12 week program.

Hello and welcome to Lawson Middle School, home of the Fighting Cardinals. Our building is home to 424 fifth through eighth graders. Our mission is to provide the educational and social stepping stone for all students to proceed to high school with a broad academic basis, a positive attitude, self esteem and above all an eagerness to learn. 

Our goals and expectations of the students:

8th Grade Supply List

All students need paper, pencils and a way to organize themselves (binder, expand-a-file, etc.)  There is no set school supply list for 8th grade.  Kleenexes are welcome by all teachers.  Some teachers will request a few extra items for their classes. Please read all syllabi.  Thanks.
